Revival during Lent? Why Not!

Can you believe it? Christmas has just finished and Lent is only about a month away. Usually we think of the Lenten season as a somber, trying time as we forsake chocolate or do without meat. Have you ever thought it could be a prime opportunity for revival for your church? Lent reminds us of fundamental truths: that we are dust, repentance can bring us closer to God, and spiritual disciplines can actually impart joy.

I have been a General Evangelist of the United Methodist church since 1999, operating a ministry called One Man Show. I have developed a special, three-day event just for Lent. Typically it is held from Sun morning -Tues night, but the days are flexible. The worship portion of the event features monologues and messages. The "one man shows" are modern-day adaptations of several disciples, including Peter as a Texas fisherman and Judas as a haunted coin collector.

In addition, my revivals include optional devotional sessions for men, women and youth. I am also a children’s magician who can do Mother’s Day Out and chapel programs. If you can get me into your public grade school, I can present my secular“Right Choice” show which teaches virtues and values. So far, over 30.000 kids have seen this show, which one principal described as the “best I have ever seen.”

Cost of this event? Pass the plate and cover my traveling expenses. That's it! There is no minimum to raise. Host churches receive a complete info and prep packet that takes the guesswork out of the event.

Ready to book? Contact me via email at info@onemanshow.org or give me a call at 817-454-1129.

From an unsolicited email last spring: "Mark! Just wanted to thank you for your amazing job this past week! I loved it! But what I most loved is that my 12-year old daughter went on and on about you and asked if we could go to your church! Hahaha! Not that she doesn't love ours but she really GOT something out of your talks. I appreciate it! Thanks and God bless you and your ministry!"
